THE WOODPECKER

The woodpecker

flies from tree to tree.

Her bright red crown

seeking the best drum

for her pecking rhythm.

To respond and call

with Tera.

Her red head

pounds a rhythm,

seeking Tera’s response

a mother’s heartbeat.

Call and response.

We too beat a rhythm

with our lives.

Are we hearing

Tera’s response?

RUMI INSPIRED

“We are the pain

and what cures pain.

We are the sweet cold water

and the jar that pours.” Rumi

“We are the pain”

of fixed ideas,

of knowing answers

that don’t serve us.

And we cure the pain

through allowing

that gate opening

into a larger garden,

a larger frame.

Which asks only for

balance in this moment.

Neither right nor wrong.

Neither end of the seesaw

being the “correct” way,

but a balance between two truths.

“We are the sweet cold water,

ever fluid, ever searching.

Initially for the “right” answer,

then for “the” truth.

And finally for the balance

of loving acceptance.

Recognizing that every truth is a lie

at another dimensional frequency.

And we are the “jar that pours”.

It is our thoughts,

our intentions that give form

to our lives, our very existence.

The great gift of consciousness

allows us to form

the shape and substance of our jar.

A jar that pours the water

of our “truth” of being

out into the world.

Does your jar pour

“sweet cold water”?

UNFOLDED, NOT MOLDED

We children of the light

are made to be unfolded…..

not made to be molded.

Yet we have allowed ourselves

to be molded by fear,

by the should's and gotta's.

While ever we crave

the unfolding of our hearts,

to find new open

and bigger spaces

from which to love.

To love others,

and even better,

to love ourselves.

Unfolding into peace.

Unfolding to claim those choices,

times and places and people

who help us find

and live in peace.

In the peace within us.

The only place

peace truly resides.

Unfolding into joy.

Turning our face,

just like the sunflower

to absorb the joy

of sun on our face.

Unfolding into joy.

Turning our head

to let the wind

stream our hair

out behind us,

waving at the world.

Undfolding into joy

in the simplest

of things.

May we all

unfold our now

to embrace

Love

and

Peace

and

Joy.

THE SWEETNESS OF DOING NOTHING

There is such sweetness

in sitting, doing nothing.

Allowing my internal reality

to unpack itself.

To lay out, on the trading blanket

this and that:

walking on the sand with my sisters

circling Bellrock at sunset,

walking Tyler wearing a fox fur hat.

Love shared,

love received.

In the sweetness

of doing nothing,

the mind chatters

until it winds down

and drops into the heart.

Space opens,

energy moves out

in all directions.

It breathes in,

it breathes out.

The “it” is the LIGHT.

And behind the

breathing in and out ,

is the light running

through the prana tube,

our essence,

the pillar that

connects heaven and earth

through us.

Prana or light energy

flows up from Tera

and down from the heavens,

meeting in our heart

then radiating out!

There is such sweetness

in doing nothing.

SEEING GROWTH

The Vegans, our next pole star,

say when they shifted long ago

from duality into unity,

their physical forms showed each

individuals spiritual work.

How odd they thought it

that we humans waited

until we’d dropped our bodies

to display that growth, or not,

with horns and hooves

or wings and halos.

I so wonder what that looked like

in/on/though their bodies.

Was it a radiance of light shining out?

Was it a transparency

as their body became less dense?

Did one part of the body change?

A heart glowing through chest walls?

A third eye opened, becoming

visible on a forehead?

Wouldn’t it be amazing?

to be able to see such truths

on or in our human bodies?

We do receive the truth of

others through our hearts

which tell us the truth,

while heads and minds,

so trained to edit,

so entrained in collective patterns

lead us astray more often

than offer the truth.

You must serve others

until your well is dry.

You must focus on saving all others

or risk being labeled selfish.

While the heart tells us true.

I’m too tired to do that.

I can’t deal with that person now.

I need time alone.

I need time outside.

I need stillness time.

Granting the heart message

is our path to peace and joy

within.

The Blade and the Holy Grail

Our souls marched down

into the 3rd Dimension

spreading the light

as thin as was possible with

much dark between each light sparkle.

We carried our swords, our blades

to carve the dense fear

into bite sized pieces.

We’ve carried that blade

to carve our protection

and equally our power

for millenniums.

And now,

as we march back towards

a world where the

light dark balance is so different,

we lay down our swords,

the blades of the 3rd dimension,

to accept the chalice

of the 5th dimension.

We move to accept the chalice,

the holy grail, full of liquid light

that is ourselves.

Ourselves as co-creators,

unafraid of our reality and seeking

collaboration and cooperation

of being one with all

in Unity.

We turn our back on fear

and face the light

radiating from within us

and march in the direction

of change, into the holy grail.

It is the new day

of a new year

and a very different millennium.

If we choose that.

Merry Christmas today

and every day.

Day of Grace

The water is on for coffee.

I open the front door for the newspaper

expecting the single digit cold.

And see, unexpectedly,

a brand new blanket

of fresh, reflective snow

under the bright moon.

Grace – an unexpected

blessing from heaven.

The surprise is shocking,

not from the cold,

but the lightness, the beauty.

The black and white world

all soft curves.

My little back Ion car

is an abstract of black lines

connecting large patches of white.

I am lifted by the beauty,

graced by the contrast,

frozen by the moment.

Graces releases all

“to do” thoughts of the day.

I stand and absorb

the silence in the morning peace.

I am graced by this day,

by the gentle snow

and the reflected lightness.

Thank you.
