Fate and Destiny (Two)

Fate and destiny,

the same or different?

We resign ourselves

to our fate.

Fate is our dues

owed to nature.

The mortality of our physical form,

the inevitability of death

that humbles us all.

Fate can be embraced.

The richness of the little deaths,

offered as the bandage is ripped off

of our hidden wounds,

our secret judgments

against ourselves.

Our old patterns that keep us

separate from our true selves.

For God has no judgment,

only love and acceptance.

Fate comes,

invited or not,

embraced or denied.

Destiny,

on the other hand

is the dues

we own our soul.

We create our own destiny

as we choose daily

how to spend

the light/love of Creator

that is the true fuel fir

our precious human bodies.

Are we spending that juice,

that energy,

to meet the expectation,

the “requirments” of

other’s view of who we should be?

Or are we focusing that

light and love

on what brings joy

to our soul?

Walking that joy

is paying those

destiny dues due our soul.

Poetry pours itself onto paper,

from my heart.

The answer to my souls longing

to express itself in this world.

What brings you the greatest joy?

Your dues to your soul,

your destiny.
