The Lord’s House
I dwell in
the house
of the Lord.
I dwell in this
sweet human spaceship,
another house of the Lord.
And I’m blessed
to live in this sweet log cabin,
yet another form of the House of the Lord.
I dwell in this community
With neighbors who plow
my driveway unasked,
postal workers who remember me
over blurred addresses.
I dwell in a community of the Lord.
And Tera rings and sings,
in ascension creating
a lighter house of the Lord
for all of us to dwell upon.
And we spin through the
darkness of space,
the Milky Way
laying a pattern in the dark
of one house of the Lord
for us all to dwell within.

of the 23rd Psalm
The Blind Side
We each have
our blind sides
where we don’t see.
Both the sides
where we hold
old destructive beliefs
of money is evil,
we’re born in sin
and sex is bad.
And our blind side
of how truly and deeply
loved we are.
How widely
God has our back.
And how blind
we can be to
own responsibility
of creating our lives.

The Tipping Point
My feet are so cold
From Alaska’s long winter
of incessant snow falls
and grey skies.
I tuck each foot into
the opposite knee
and tailor sit.
They warm to the
yummy tipping point
of comfort.
We have marched
on cold feet for millennia.
No time to stop and contemplate,
to tailor sit and warm ourselves
until now.
2012 is the tipping point,
if we so choose.
Where time has speeded up,
and truly warns us to slow down.
To sit quietly, enjoying the warmth
of inviting the light into our bodies
all the way down to our toes.
This great tipping point
is Tera’s choice, joining
the Milky Way
for more light here.
The balance between
the light and dark
is tipping
towards light and love.
And ever, in a free will zone
we get to choose
how we see,
how we feel
and how we express that.
The light radiates from
Source within each of us
Not from the leaden sky’s
leaking frozen tears,
but from within our hearts,
from our souls
seeing the truth
of who we are.
Another loving aspect of Source
expressing the light.

Keep Your Eye on the Door
The monks next initiation
was frightful.
So many fellows
had not made it through
the hall of distractions.
He was next and
terrified of getting lost in there.
He asked his mentor for advice.
“keep your eye on the door
on the far side” he said.
Following that advice,
our monk entered the hall to
hails from friends,
so many glittering options.
But he did not take
his eye off the door.
He made it…..
initiation successful.
And you...
What defines your door,
as our life of
shoulds and to do’s
hails us in each moment?
Is your door
simply breathing
love in, love out?
Is your door
acts of kindness?
Or following the
still small voice within?
Is it meditating each day?
Are you keeping your eye
On your door?

VALDEZ, ALASKA
Imagine,
in order to go
outside and play
you go the garage
and get an 8 foot ladder.
You open the ladder,
in a narrow plowed driveway
against the snowbank
that is your front yard.
Children climb the ladder,
strap on little snowshoes,
and hop
on top
of their yard
to play.
Wow.

Ordering Joy
The barista smiles
as I order
“Hot chocolate please
and hold the hot chocolate,
extra whipped cream
and sprinkles”.
A “drink” for a five year old,
unspillable in the car.
Coloring outside the lines.
Asking for dessert first,
asking for what you really want.
Asking for what will
bring you joy.
I wish we could
all so easily order
what brings us joy.
